Washington Hues

Description: This past Friday, on my way home from Vermont, I ventured through the mountains just before sunset. The sky and clouds were looking exceptionally fine, prompting me to think of potential photo spots. I first stopped at that pond featured last Tuesday, but it lacked that 'WOW' factor. Consequently, I continued my journey up the road to the Sugar Hill area, famous for its fields blanketed with iconic Lupines in early June. As sunset approached, the lighting kept improving. It was like pressing snooze on your morning alarm; I took about 50 "Last Shots" until the light diminished to the point of being unusable.
One of my favorite shots from this collection features the lower half of Mt. Washington, bathed in the pastel blues and pinks of the sunset hues filtering through the clouds.
